As House of Zwide prepares to air its final episode later this month, e.tv has unveiled the cast of its replacement drama series, eGagasini: Waves of Change.
Leading the cast are Meshack Mavuso, Gugu Gumede, Nolwazi Tsebesha, Aphelele Shezi, Nomfundo Radebe and Londeka Mkhwanazi, alongside a mix of established stars and rising talent.
Set against Durban’s vibrant music scene, the series follows three ambitious best friends whose lives change forever after a viral music video catapults them to fame. However, their dreams of stardom soon become entangled in a devastating secret after a tragic yacht accident leaves a young woman dead.

Set against the vibrant backdrop of Durban’s evolving music scene, eGagasini: Waves of Change follows three ambitious best friends from Umlazi, Lwandle, Njabulo and Sihle, whose lives change forever after a viral music video catapults their trio, Truth or Dare, into the spotlight.
Their dreams of stardom quickly become entangled in a devastating secret when a tragic accident aboard a yacht leaves a young woman dead. Bound together by guilt and fear, the trio enter a pact of silence to protect their future.

Who is behind eGagasini: Waves of Change?
eGagasini:Waves of Change is produced by Stained Glass TV with Gugulethu Zuma and Pepsi Pokane as the Executive Producers. Stained Glass TV is one of South Africa’s most established production companies. The company has produced acclaimed television dramas including Uzalo, Durban Gen, Lingashoni, eHostela, Amalanga Awafani and Netflix’s The Polygamist.
Speaking on the production, Stained Glass TV Executive Producer Pepsi Pokane says eGagasini is a story about the dangerous collision between dreams and consequences.

It is vibrant, aspirational, and deeply rooted in music culture, but beneath that is a tense thriller about guilt, fear, and the weight of one life-changing decision. When does eGagasini:Waves of Change premiere?
eGagasini: Waves of Change premieres on e.tv on Monday, 29 June 2026 at 7:30PM, taking over the weekday timeslot previously occupied by House of Zwide.
The fashion drama will air its final episode on Friday, 26 June 2026, bringing an end to its run after five seasons.
The new series enters one of South African television’s most competitive timeslots and will go head-to-head with SABC1’s popular soapie Skeem Saam and Mzansi Magic’s new telenovela Kwa Baba.
