Zulu Mkhathini and Pamela Mtanga to host Mzansi Magic’s new lifestyle show VIP Lounge

Zulu Mkhathini and Pamela Mtanga are heading back to television as the hosts of Mzansi Magic’s new lifestyle and entertainment magazine show, VIP Lounge.

Premiering in October, the weekly show promises to give viewers a front-row seat to South African entertainment, fashion, music and culture, with celebrity interviews, behind-the-scenes access and a look inside some of the country’s biggest events.

Produced by Homebrew Films, VIP Lounge will also spotlight stories of Black South African excellence and the people shaping contemporary culture across television, film, fashion, music, art, lifestyle and current affairs.

What is VIP Lounge about?

VIP Lounge is a new lifestyle magazine show that brings together entertainment, celebrity culture, fashion, music and current affairs through a distinctly South African lens.

The show will take viewers behind the scenes of some of Mzansi Magic’s popular telenovelas, introduce them to the stars behind their favourite characters and offer access to celebrity homes and spaces rarely seen by the public.

Fashion will also form part of the show, with VIP Lounge spending time with South African designers and exploring the latest looks and trends.

Viewers can also expect coverage from major events and conversations with musicians, entertainers and other influential South African personalities.

He added that he was looking forward to sharing the platform with Mtanga.

For Mtanga, VIP Lounge also marks her return to television after several years away from the medium.

«“It’s been a couple of years since I’ve been on TV, so that makes this opportunity all the more special. I’ve always wanted to be part of television that feels current, fun, and connected to what’s happening in Mzansi right now.”»

Mtanga said she and Mkhathini have already enjoyed working together on the production and she is looking forward to audiences seeing the result.
