The popular isiZulu telenovela Umkhokha: The Curse is making a return to television screens, this time on Mzansi Wethu, following a successful two-season run on Mzansi Magic.
The show, which aired its final episode in February 2025, will now be broadcast again from Monday, 13 April, airing weekdays (Monday to Friday) at 8:30 PM. Viewers can expect to relive all 500 episodes from the two seasons.
Originally launched as a 13-part limited series, Umkhokha quickly captured the attention of audiences across South Africa. Its strong storytelling, filled with drama, suspense, and emotional depth, led to its expansion into a full telenovela titled Umkhokha: The Curse.
The story centres on two powerful families locked in a battle for control, exploring themes of faith, greed, power, and redemption. These themes resonated strongly with viewers, helping the show build a loyal fanbase.
