BET Africa has announced the return of Behind The Story for its exciting new season, Season 5. This season will see Nomalanga “The Flame” Shozi take over as the new host, following in the footsteps of Pearl Thusi, who has hosted the show for the past four seasons. Nomalanga is a well-known TV personality, radio host, and actress, and is ready to bring a fresh and engaging perspective to the popular show.
Nomalanga Shozi’s rise to fame
Nomalanga Shozi’s career skyrocketed when she became the first host of BET Breaks Africa in 2018. Since then, she has represented Africa at various BET events, including the BET Awards, BET Soul Train Awards, and the BET Hip Hop Awards. Throughout her career, she has interviewed global stars like Erykah Badu, Angela Bassett, and Common. Nomalanga is also known for her roles on TV shows such as Isono on BET Africa and MTV Shuga. Her dynamic career makes her the perfect fit for hosting Behind The Story.
Behind The Story Season 5: What to expect
This season of Behind The Story promises to offer an exciting and intimate look into the lives of local celebrities. Hosted by Nomalanga, each episode will feature a celebrity guest who takes Nomalanga on a tour of key locations in Johannesburg. From the vibrant Vilakazi Street to the energetic Maboneng Precinct, viewers will get a personal, behind-the-scenes glimpse into the lives of their favorite stars.
The show will also dive into the stories behind their careers, from their first big break to significant life events like buying their first house or meeting loved ones. Fans can look forward to special guests like Norma Mngoma, the former wife of ex-Minister Malusi Gigaba, popular rapper Reason, and Osama hitmaker Zakes Bantwini.
