Mzansi Magic has confirmed that its popular telenovela Inimba will return for a second season, following an exceptional debut run that kept viewers hooked throughout 2025.
The show first aired in April and quickly became one of the most talked-about productions in Mzansi. Each episode sparked major conversations on social media, with fans filling timelines to debate the drama, twists, and emotional moments. The strong support from viewers even led to Season 1 being extended by 90 episodes.
The Inimba cast features top South African actors such as Lunathi Mampofu, who plays Zoleka Bikitsha, and Sisanda Hewana as Hlathi Mabandla. Zenande Mfenyana, who won the Best Actress in a Television Drama award at the 2025 National Film and Television Awards (NFTA) for her role as Thumeka, is also a standout in the cast. Other key cast members include Loyiso MacDonald as Lazarus Ngcukana, Ayakha Ntunjwa as Qhawe Mabandla, Siyabonga Shibe as Sydney Zondo, and a long list of talented stars who make every episode unforgettable.

Season 1 delivered unforgettable moments, such as Zoleka’s unexpected return after twenty years, Hlathi’s explosive confrontations often marked by his famous line, “KukwaMabandla apha!” and the much-loved LaZo romance between Zoleka and Lazarus. The one-hour wedding special was another highlight, drawing massive attention online.
The show is written by award-winning screenwriter and executive producer Siphosethu Tshapu from The Milton Empire, with Izwi Multimedia supervising production.
Mzansi Magic says season 2 will bring even higher stakes, new characters, and more twists to keep viewers talking throughout 2026.
