The future of smartphone content creation was on full display as HONOR South Africa officially launched the new HONOR 600 Series during a high-energy event at Gallagher Convention Centre in Midrand.
Blending tech, sport, music and creator culture, the launch brought together celebrities, influencers and media personalities for an immersive experience centred around HONOR’s latest AI-powered features.
With music, games and social media-friendly moments throughout the venue, the “Sports Meets Tech” themed launch leaned into the growing connection between technology and digital creativity in South Africa.
AI-powered features designed for creators
The new HONOR 600 Series includes the HONOR 600 Pro and HONOR 600, both designed to bring flagship-level performance, advanced AI tools and powerful cameras to everyday users.
One of the biggest talking points at the launch was the upgraded AI Image to Video 2.0 feature, which allows users to turn still images into short video clips using AI prompts and built-in templates. Users can create cinematic-style videos directly from their phones without needing extra editing apps.
The phones also introduce AI Photos Agent, a feature that allows users to edit images using simple text instructions. This includes removing unwanted objects or reflections from photos without switching between multiple apps.
The series’ most powerful night camera system
For photography lovers and content creators, the HONOR 600 Series focuses heavily on night photography. The devices feature a 200MP Ultra-Clear AI Night Camera designed to improve low-light images while maintaining natural skin tones and scene detail.
The HONOR 600 Pro takes things a step further with a 50MP 3.5X Periscope Telephoto Camera and up to 120x zoom for capturing distant subjects with improved clarity.
Flagship-level performance and long-lasting battery life
Beyond the camera system, the HONOR 600 Series is built for users who spend most of their day connected online. From gaming and streaming to multitasking and content editing, the phones are powered by Snapdragon processors designed to deliver smooth everyday performance.
The HONOR 600 Pro features the Snapdragon 8 Elite processor for more demanding tasks, while the HONOR 600 runs on the Snapdragon 7 Gen 4 platform.
Battery life is another major focus. The series comes with a 7,000mAh battery paired with 80W HONOR SuperCharge support, helping users stay connected for longer with less downtime.
Smarter connectivity with Apple and Google integration
HONOR has also expanded connectivity features for Apple users, allowing easier file sharing with iPhone and Mac devices, hotspot sharing and Apple Watch message display.
The HONOR 600 Series also includes Google Gemini integration, allowing users to interact with AI through text, voice and images for everyday assistance.

HONOR expands its all-scenario product range
Alongside the smartphone launch, HONOR also introduced several new accessories including the HONOR Watch 6, HONOR CHOICE Mousebuds Pro, HONOR Earbuds 4 and HONOR CHOICE Headphones.
Pricing, availability and launch offers
The HONOR 600 Pro will be available in Golden White and Orange for R19 999, while the HONOR 600 will retail for R14 999 in Orange and Black.
Customers who purchase selected HONOR 600 Series devices between 8 June and 8 July 2026 will also receive promotional gifts and additional benefits including accidental damage protection and Google AI Pro access.
