South African TV presenter, actress and entrepreneur Ntando Rambani is set to drop her debut book, From One Mother to Another, inspired by her personal journey through motherhood.
The book, written with Zibu Sithole, is scheduled to drop on 1 September 2026, which is also Rambani’s 31st birthday. Rambani, formerly known as Ntando Duma, is a mother of two daughters, Sbahle and Amani. She says her experiences as a mother helped inspire her to write the book.
What is From One Mother to Another about?
According to the book’s official synopsis, From One Mother to Another explores Rambani’s journey of growing up in a world where love was complicated by violence and emotional absence.
The book follows her journey of self-discovery, unlearning and letting go as she works towards becoming the mother she always wanted to be for her own children.
The book also challenges the picture-perfect image of parenting often seen on social media.
Instead, it explores the difficult and sometimes messy reality of healing while raising a family. From One Mother to Another aims to remind readers that their past does not have to define the kind of family they create in the future.
Speaking to True Love, Rambani said motherhood is her biggest priority and that the book is for mothers navigating different situations in their lives. “This is for all the mothers” who may be facing challenges, celebrating their wins or trying to balance motherhood with their careers, relationships and other responsibilities, she said.
The book aims to create a sense of connection between mothers while reminding them that their struggles and experiences are valid.
A personal journey through motherhood
For Rambani, motherhood has become an important part of both her personal life and her work. She is the mother of nine-year-old Sbahle and one-year-old Amani. In her interview with True Love, Rambani also shared that she would love to have more children in the future. Her experiences raising her daughters have influenced the way she approaches family, parenting and business. She has also supported business ideas inspired by her children, including Sbahle Siyakhula, a children’s salon with a reading corner, and House of Amani, a children’s clothing brand.
When will Ntando Rambani’s book be released?
The official release date for From One Mother to Another is 1 September 2026 and will be released as a 216-page paperback as well as ebook. The book will be published by Pan Macmillan South Africa and is currently available for pre-order.
