Apple has officially launched the Apple TV app on Android devices, giving Android users direct access to Apple TV+ and MLS Season Pass for the first time. The app can now be downloaded from Google Play on Android phones, tablets, and foldable devices.
The Apple TV app on Android features a familiar design and navigation experience, making it easy for users to browse, stream, or download Apple Original series and films. Android users can subscribe to Apple TV+ or MLS Season Pass directly through their Google Play account, and a seven-day free trial is also available.
The app includes key features such as Continue Watching, which syncs progress across devices, and Watchlist for saving shows and movies to view later. Video can be streamed over Wi-Fi or mobile data, and users can download titles to watch offline whenever they like.
With this release, Android users can now explore popular Apple TV+ titles including dramas, comedies, documentaries, and family entertainment. Top shows include Severance, Slow Horses, The Morning Show, Shrinking, Ted Lasso, and Masters of the Air, along with original films such as CODA and Killers of the Flower Moon.
Android users can also subscribe to MLS Season Pass to stream every Major League Soccer match with no blackout restrictions. The 2025 MLS season begins the weekend of 22 February, marking the league’s 30th season. Subscribers will also get exclusive behind-the-scenes content, analysis, and match highlights.
Apple TV+ continues to expand its library, offering Friday Night Baseball and the new Sunday Night Soccer lineup in 2025. Since launching in 2019, Apple TV+ has quickly earned recognition, with Apple Originals receiving more than 538 wins and over 2,553 award nominations globally.
