Thabo Sebashe Bids Capricorn FM Farewell

As of today, Thabo Sebashe bids farewell to Capricorn FM to embark on new ventures. Since joining in 2018, he has been a fixture, initially hosting E a Baba Nights before transitioning to the immensely popular Urban Lunch Experience in 2020, solidifying his status as a household name.

“I’ve personally never worked in a company for 4 years before, Capricorn FM was my first and I really pushed myself. I feel I need to take a break from daily radio and explore other things. I will miss the listeners the most. It’s rare that listeners can entertain the presenter, but that’s exactly what I experienced every day on Capricorn FM. I want to thank everyone who tuned and may God bless you all,” says Thabo Sebashe

It took a lot of persuading to try and keep Sebashe on for longer, however his heart was already set and the station will forever value his contribution and impact on the airwaves. We wish Thabo Sebashe all the best in his endeavours and know that he will remain part of the family. We trust that our presenters, old and new will carry their new shows with love and continue to give our listeners the best of Limpopo’s Hottest Frequency. To our listeners, we thank you for the support and for always making sure that we remain the pioneers of progress.

James Shikwambana, Capricorn FM’s Managing Director

Sebashe will bid farewell to his listeners during his final show on Friday, October 1st, from 12 PM to 3 PM. Starting Monday, October 4th, Vusi Alphaa, known affectionately as the Venda Boy, will step into Sebashe’s shoes as the new host of the Urban Lunch Experience.

With Sebashe’s departure, Capricorn FM has revamped its lineup. Chris Chuene will now helm the Breakfast Brew, airing Saturdays from 6 AM to 10 AM, taking over from Mr. Majo. Mr. Majo, in turn, will transition to hosting The Morning Grind on weekdays from 3 AM to 6 AM. Aggrey Lichopwa joins the Capricorn FM family as the new host of Ea Baba Nights, commencing Friday, October 1st, 2021.
