Iman Rappetti, the acclaimed broadcaster, is set to rejoin Gauteng’s Power FM, taking on the helm of the Power Breakfast show alongside Faith Mangope. This move marks her return to the station where she previously hosted the award-winning Power Talk until April 2019.
The dynamic duo of Faith Mangope and Rappetti will make history as the first female pair to lead a talk radio breakfast show in Africa. Their partnership comes as part of a new lineup change following the unfortunate passing of Bob Mabena on August 10, 2020.
MSG Afrika chairman Given Mkhari made the announcement on Power Breakfast this Wednesday. Mkhari said Mabena’s passing raised “the obvious question of what do we do next”. He further said they will not try to replace Mabena as it is humanly impossible, however the addition of Rappetti alongside Mangope represents a new era for Power FM.
Rappetti’s return to the station promises to bring a fresh perspective and engaging dialogue to listeners starting from August 24, 2020.
Power Breakfast airs 6AM – 9AM weekdays on Power FM.
