Renowned broadcaster Iman Rappetti makes her way back to Gauteng-based talk radio station Power FM as the new host of the Power Breakfast. Rappetti left Power FM as the host of an award-winning Power Talk show in April 2019. She now joins Faith Mangope and the pair will co-host the breakfast show as of 24 August 2020.
Faith Mangope and Rappetti will become the first female duo to host a talk radio breakfast show in Africa. The line-up change comes after Bob Mabena’s untimely passing on Monday 10 August.
MSG Afrika chairman Given Mkhari made the announcement on POWER Breakfast this Wednesday. Mkhari said Mabena’s passing raised “the obvious question of what do we do next”. He further said they will not try to replace Mabena as it is humanly impossible.
Power Breakfast airs 6AM – 9AM weekdays on Power FM
