Following the success of A Very Bonang Year, the two-part special docu-reality which broke records with a combined viewership of 3,86 million for both part 1 & 2. The viewership for A Very Bonang Year equates to almost 21% of the total South African audience and the highest achieved by any entertainment offering in the slot this year. Businesswoman and Media Personality is making a comeback to SABC 1 with a new show.
Queen B returns to SABC 1 with her documentary Public Figure. Public Figure investigates the psychological effects of everyday social media use while exploring how our influencers deal with fame, money, hate, and obsession.
The official premiere took place at the Manchester Film Festival in the UK earlier in 2019 and was aired at the Socially Relevant Film Festival in New York. It was also picked up for distribution by Gravitas Ventures and made its South African debut in June 2019.
Public Figure airs Mondays 24 August & 31 August 2020 on SABC 1 8PM
