Wiseman Zitha Joins The Cast Of Queen Modjadji

As the cameras roll on the highly anticipated debut season of Queen Modjadji, the team behind the Mzansi Magic drama series has unveiled the newest addition to its ensemble cast. Set to premiere on Mzansi Magic, DStv channel 161, in July, Queen Modjadji promises an enthralling narrative that captivates audiences.

During a recent visit to the set, Rhythm World Productions’ Executive Producer Duma Ndlovu confirmed that Wiseman Zitha will portray the character of Mamaila, the estranged son of King Mugodo, raised under the guardianship of King Thulare. With an impressive portfolio that includes acclaimed performances on SABC 2’s Xitsonga telenovela Giyani: Land of Blood, Mzansi Magic’s Rockville, The River, Entangled on 1Magic, and Musangwe on Showmax, Zitha brings his award-winning talent to the forefront once again.

Zitha joins a stellar cast previously announced, including Ngelekanyo Ramulondi, Masutang Rasekele, Helen Lebepe, and Thabo Bopape. As anticipation mounts for the series premiere in July, Queen Modjadji promises to be a captivating journey into the realm of royalty, intrigue, and familial bonds.

On joining what’s set to be an epic project, Zitha says “This is such a big deal to me because I wanted to be part of it so badly — from the time I got the audition brief, I manifested it. I’m elated to have landed this role and cannot believe that I’m part of such groundbreaking show.”

He concludes “This is history in the making. This is the first of its kind — we are the first people to tell a Khelobedu story in the history of South African television. We are giving it our all on set every day and I’m working with amazing people. I am so grateful.”
