Discovery Digital Marketing Graduate

Discovery is looking for a digital marketing graduate to join the digital marketing team operates which as a full service in-house agency to all the Discovery brands assisting them to attract, retain, and engage clients and advisers across the various digital assets.

The purpose of the digital marketing graduate will be to support the different digital marketing functions, offering a unique opportunity to be exposed to all aspects of digital marketing.

Areas of responsibility may include but not limited to:
• Reporting on performance across different platforms including advertising, organic social, website and app.
• Research to inform campaign strategies and to identify trends, insights and best practices in digital marketing.
• Briefing in and testing updates on the web and app.
• Processing of invoices including accurate allocation and obtaining approvals.
• May be assigned special projects or tasks based on skills, interest and needs of the team.

Competencies
• MS Office.
• Familiarity with social media platforms e.g. Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, LinkedIn and Tik Tok.
• Basic knowledge of digital analytics tools is a plus.
• Experience with graphic design or video editing is a plus.
• Time and project management.
• Communicate well in English both verbally and in writing.
• Develop audience appropriate communication.
• Critically evaluate communication elements such as content and creative.
• Attention to detail and accuracy.
• Self-starter mentality.
• Curiosity – unafraid to ask questions to learn more.
• Sense of urgency.

Education and Experience
• Completed BCom Marketing Degree.
• Between the age of 19 – 33.
• Clear credit (ITC) and no criminal record.
• Currently unemployed.
• Currently not participating in a learnership or graduate program.
• Effective communication in written and verbal English.
