Limpopo born star has reached a new milestone with his hit song Jerusalema. Jerusalema is now the most Shazamed song in the world, this was confirmed on Shazam’s official Twitter account. This makes Master KG real name Kgaogelo Moagi the first African artist to top the Shazam Global Chart with his smash hit Jerusalema. Jerusalema features singer Nomcebo Zikode and currently leads the Shazam charts with 4,5 million Shazams
Two weeks ago Jerusalema reached a groundbreaking 100 million views on YouTube and is currently on 124 million views (at the time of publication).
Jerusalema has taken over the world and has gone on to reach platinum status in Italy. So far the Jerusalema bug has hit footballer Cristiano Ronaldo who posted a video on Instagram jamming to the song.
American singer Janet Jackson sent Master KG a shout-out on Twitter jamming to the song. American rap star Chance The Rapper also joined in and did the same a few days later. 2020 is definitely one for the books for Master KG.
