AKA Pulls Out From Huawei Joburg Day

Mr Supermega as he is AKA is affectionately known has made a U-turn on his decision to return to the spotlight following Nelli Tembe’s untimely passing. He has announced his withdrawal from the Huawei Joburg Day line-up and public appearances.

In a statement put out by AKA’s management team, The T Effect, the rapper will not be performing at the Huawei Joburg Day and other events in the future.

Speaking to TshisaLIVE, AKA’s publicist Pumza Nobashe said, ” The hip-hop megastar has elected to take a step back from the musical eventing space because he is currently in a space where he feels it is necessary to place a greater emphasis on looking after his emotional and physical being.”

AKA’s decision to withdraw from live events and public appearances comes in light with . A video that has emerged that starts violence speculations between him and his late fiancèe Anele ‘Nelli’ Tembe. Nelli died last month after falling from the tenth floor of Pepperclub Hotel in Cape Town. The details around her death remain under investigation.
