Telkom Netball League Hits The Court

The Telkom Netball League is back from 14 October to 27 October 2020 at the Mangaung Indoor Sports Complex. This year’s tournament features two more teams one from KwaZulu-Natal ( Kingdom Queens) and one from the Western Cape (Tornados) rounding up a total of 12 teams. Netball South Africa recently penned down a new deal with Telkom, taking this partnership to three more years with the sponsor.

Under normal circumstances TNL takes place around May and is played for a period of 5-6 weeks. Initially, this year’s competition was going to be held in three provinces with teams travelling to each province to play each other. TNL have followed suit to what the PSL did with the resumption of local football, all 12 teams have entered a biologically secure environment where everyone in that bubble has been tested and they are not allowed to physically interact with the outside world. NSA technical sponsor, PUMA, will dress all 12 teams, ball girls and umpires throughout the series.

NSA have invited the SA U/21 “The Cubs” to be the 13th team at this year’s tournament. The Cubs will play against six teams in 1st division to prepare them for the 2021 Netball World Youth Cup in Fiji.

The tournament will be played across two sub divisions with teams from each division playing each other for the finals and for relegation.
