Sticky Chicken Wings

You’ll want to keep an extra stack of napkins nearby once you start reaching for these sweet and sticky wings. The maple syrup makes every bite finger-licking’ good!

Prep time: 25 minutes 
Cooking time : 45 minutes 

Serves: 2

Ingredients

  • 8 raw chicken wings
  • 2 tablespoons of BBQ rub
  • 2/5 tablespoons of Chicken rub
  • 1 tablespoon of Mother in Law spice
  • A pinch of black pepper
  • 1 tablespoon of salt
  • 3 tablespoons of BBQ sauce
  • 3 tablespoons of maple syrup or honey
  • 2 tablespoon of Worcestershire sauce

Method

  1. Boil your chicken wings for 15 minutes.
  2. Remove wings from boil and place them in a mixing bowl.
  3. Season the wings with the dry ingredients (spices) and mix all together using your hands
  4. Once wings are well coated with the spices add the liquid ingredients (sauce, syrup/honey and Worcestershire sauce).
  5. Mix everything again using your hands until your wings are well coated (DO NOT DISCARD THE LEFT OVER MIXTURE AS YOU WILL USE IT FOR BASTING).
  6. Pre-heat oven at 280 degrees and place wings in the oven for 20 minutes.
  7. After 20 minutes remove your wings from the oven and dunked them in the remaining mixture “basting”.
  8. Return your wings to the oven for a further 15 minutes.
  9. Serve immediately
