Rose Tshabalala appointed Munghana Lonene FM’s Programmes Manager

Renowned broadcaster Rose “Rosana” Tshabalala has stepped into the role of Programmes Manager at Munghana Lonene FM, succeeding Tebogo Magubane, who left the station last year. In her new role, she will oversee programming strategy, content development, and on-air presentation.

Originally from Mapayeni Village outside Giyani, Tshabalala started her career in 1995 as a freelance presenter, later securing a permanent role as an Announcer/Presenter & Translator in 1996. Over the years, she showcased her talents on various shows, notably hosting the midmorning show Gingirikani from 1996 to 2005.

Transitioning to the station’s marketing department from 2005 to 2007, she played a crucial role in organizing memorable events and securing significant sponsorships, including 150,000 calendars for the station. Moreover, she established the Women Achievers Awards, honoring remarkable women in their communities.

Since 2007, Tshabalala has been instrumental in producing various shows at the station, such as Mphensa Mphensa, Phofula, Gongomela, Sisimuka u Vangama, and Vantshwa Vahleva. Her journey has seen her grow into a seasoned producer and senior continuity producer, playing a pivotal role in the station’s continued success.

Her academic qualifications include a National Diploma in Public Relations from UNISA, People Management Programme from GIBS.  She is currently pursuing her Honours Degree in Integrated Organisational Communication at UNISA.

We have confidence in Ms Tshabalala and believe that her expertise will assist the station to deliver high quality content enhancing as well as continue to preserve and promote Xitsonga Culture and Heritage.
