Famous TV and Film actor Vuyo Dabula has parted ways with Generations: The Legacy after playing villain Kumkani “Gadaffi” Phakade for 7 years. Vuyo took to his Instagram account to confirm his exit from the show. Vuyo’s confirmation comes after reports surfaced earlier this week that he was leaving the hit SABC1 soapie.
“In case you were wondering … I left #generationsthelegacy a while ago, what you have been watching was pre-recorded something like two months ago, my ship sails a perilous dark sea by choice now, do not look back,” he wrote.
An insider told TRUE LOVE Magazine that the negotiations for the star fell flat and as such he won’t be part of the upcoming season and his character has been scrapped off. This is not the first time that the actor has parted ways with the show. Last year, producers gave him an ultimatum to either stay with Generations: The Legacy or continue shooting Season 2 of Netflix’s Queen Sono, which was afterwards canned.
It’s true that Vuyo is no longer a part of the show and he will be greatly missed, but I can confirm that there are two new additions to the show that viewers can look forward to.”
