Seasoned actor Muzi Mthabela is set to make his mark on the hit telenovela series My Brother’s Keeper stepping into the role of Mqondisi Shabalala, Mshengu’s (played by Lindani Nkosi) estranged younger brother.
Mqondisi and Mshengu have a complicated history where they have betrayed and stepped on each other’s toes. Mqondisi is the one person that can stand up to Mshengu and does not hold back on any opportunity to have one up on him. Mthabela will make his debut on the show on 10 May, Episode 15 of season 2.
With a career spanning both film and television, Mthabela is no stranger to portraying complex characters, and his portrayal of Mqondisi is sure to be no exception. He played Duma Ngema on Isibaya and Menzi Vilakazi on e.tv’s Imbewu. He currently stars as Nkosiyabo Cele on Generations: The Legacy with his final appearance scheduled for June 5th.
My Brother’s Keeper airs weeknights on Mzansi Magic DStv Channel 161 at 7:30 PM.
