Londie London, who first appeared on The Real Housewives of Durban Season 2, is back on our screens in the much-anticipated The Real Housewives Ultimate Girls Trip – South Africa.
In her first sit-down interview since wrapping the show, Londie London shares why she decided to come back to reality television, her experience as an all-star Housewife, and the tea that happened while filming.
On Returning To Reality TV
Londie reveals that her decision to return to reality television was fueled by a combination of familiarity and excitement for the new concept. She shares, “I feel like once you have been in the reality TV space, it is something you can’t get away from. I love this concept that highlights the leading ladies of the Housewives franchise, and I wanted to be a part of it.”
Bringing Something New
With her previous stint on The Real Housewives of Durban, Londie promises viewers a fresh perspective in The Real Housewives Ultimate Girls Trip – South Africa. She emphasizes, “I feel like people are going to see a different side of me apart from being a housewife and a mom. On The Real Housewives Ultimate Girls Trip – South Africa, I am on a girls’ trip and you know anything goes. Audiences are going to see me having fun and bonding with the ladies.”
Addressing Personal Matters
Acknowledging the Housewives’ tendency stirring up drama, Londie anticipates addressing rumors surrounding her private life on the show. She asserts, “You know the ladies love to poke, so definitely, there will be a lot of things that will be addressed. That is the point of being on the show: you get to tell your story and clear a few things in your own words.”
Owning Her Story
When asked about her pre-show nerves, Londie confidently stated, “I was not nervous about anything or anyone because I do not have anything to hide. Obviously, there are some things I would prefer not to talk about but at the end of the day, I own my story as it is.”
Topics Off-Limits
Reflecting on sensitive subjects, Londie disclosed, “I do not like talking about exes, I don’t like talking about failed relationships, and I don’t like talking about other people.” Despite these reservations, she affirmed, “But if I have to address something that is about me, I will speak on it.”
Unexpected Surprises
Reflecting on her time filming, Londie admits to being taken aback by the drama stirred by certain cast members, particularly the blondes. However, she found solace in unexpected connections, particularly with Christall. She remarks, “I was so surprised by the blondes. They had so much drama. There was always something brewing. More than anything, I was shocked at the things that were revealed. I was also pleasantly surprised with Christall. She and I grew close during filming and I enjoyed spending time with her; she is very cool.”
Unresolved Tensions
Not everything ended on a positive note for Londie, as she left Jamaica with unresolved issues, notably with Nonku. She expresses her disappointment, stating, “When I left the island, I had some unresolved issues with Nonku. It left a bitter taste in my mouth. I did not want it to get that far because I understand that this is a show but I wish it could have ended differently. It was not nice. I was disappointed in her because I did not expect her to poke as hard as she did; she just kept getting into my personal business. I wish it could have ended differently. It was not nice.
