Jürgen Klopp, the former Liverpool coach, has addressed rumors about his next move and denied any interest in becoming the England national team manager. Speaking at a coaching conference in Würzburg, Germany, Klopp made it clear that he’s not currently considering a return to coaching.
Klopp, who left Liverpool this summer after nine successful years, said he’s that his advisor is passing “absolutely nothing” on to him concerning job offers, “no club, no country.” He also dismissed the idea of taking over as England manager, stating, “It would be a huge loss of face in football to say I’m making an exception for you.”
Klopp’s career includes stints with Mainz and Borussia Dortmund before his time at Liverpool. Although he’s taking a break now, he hinted that he might return to work in the future. “I’m too young to just focus on padel tennis and spending time with my grandchildren,” he said. “Will I coach again? I would actually rule that out at the moment. Let’s see what it looks like in a few months’ time. Nothing is coming through at the moment.”
